About Us

D.T. Carlson Co. is a design build firm, specializing in new custom homes, additions, renovations and remodels. We also build lake cabin retreats.  We have a team consisting of architects, interior designers, an in-house building team, enduring subcontractors, and landscape architects.

We are known for our impeccable craftsmanship, attention to detail, and our successful relationships with our clients.  A significant part of our business comes from referrals from past clients.

We guide our clients through the building process from presenting preliminary plans, to the final blue prints, to the completion of the project.  Our team will assist you in selecting materials, fixtures, and colors as the project progresses.

If desired, we can assist you in financing your project through one of our preferred lenders.

When building a custom home, we build in both new developments and on scattered lots throughout existing neighborhoods.  Our homes often set the standards in new developments, or blend naturally into the settings of distinguished neighborhoods and their environments.  Our clients can choose to build on one of our lots, build on their own lot, or we can search for and find a lot in their preferred location. 

When given the opportunity to work on an addition, remodel, or renovation we bring the experience and skill that our clients are seeking - whether the challenge is keeping true to the original architecture, or designing it new.
